Map: 428 California schools flagged for audit due to low vaccination rates
California schools that have more than 10% of their kindergartners or seventh grade students without all their required vaccinations are subject to a state audit that could result in the loss of some state funding. In 2025, more than 420 schools made the list. Students who are overdue for their vaccinations, or who have been admitted to schools conditionally while they catch up on vaccines, are not fully vaccinated, according to the state.
